Muppets Now Episode 5: The I.T Factor was more enjoyable and funnier in its approach than the
previous episodes I have watched. Every episode has 4 segments and this episode featured “Lifestyle
with Miss Peggy”, “Muppet Masters”, everyone’s favorite “Pepe’s Unbelievable Gameshow” and
“Muppets Lab Field Tests”.
The opening segment was “Lifestyle with Miss Peggy” with Uncle Deadly. Now, this is the only segment
that has come on all the five episodes until now and the reviews have not been the best for the segment
except that this time it had the Swedish Chef who is funny and made the segment so hilarious than I had
imagined. The connection between Miss Peggy and the Chef brings up an overview of the segment with
their humor and jokes. The chat room also had guests, Taye Diggs and Linda Cardellini.
The most awaited segment since episode 1 and which is also one of my favorite segments of the show called “Muppet Masters’. Walter is the host of this show and he showcases the hidden talents of the
Muppets in this episode. Uncle Deadly is the one who’s in front of Walter in this episode. As usual,
Walter reveals his talents and as for Uncle Deadly; it’s called Stage Combat. It’s funny as Walter teaches.
Uncle Deadly about blades but instead of exercising them, he starts dancing which is another comical
highlight of the episode.
The third segment of Muppets Now Episode 5 is one of the best segments of this episode as well as the show called “Pepe’s
Unbelievable Game Show”. This is a game show which has no rules, no way of winning points and it
doesn’t even make sense but as the show is unscripted, and there are some guest stars along with the
Muppets, it automatically makes the segment funny and entertaining for the viewers. This episode had
Katrina and Eddie as Pepe’s assistants, and I think they did a wonderful job playing along with the
Muppets in their segment.
The last but not the least is the “Muppets Lab Field Tests” segment, hosted by our favorites Bunsen and Beaker. In this episode, the theme is Pressure and Pascal’s Law. Now, we know that Bunsen and Beaker.
Lab experiments haven’t had the best results. This time, as the theme suggests, they used a hydraulic press and started pushing for things below it which were just so amusing to watch.
We have all come across several hydraulic press videos as they are very satisfying but for Bunsen and Beaker, they stretch it too far and Bunsen ends up putting some personal belongings of Beaker. He tries to save some of them but the result is as always dynamic.
The season is coming to an end next week with their last episode “Socialized”. The second season will be
back soon as heard from the directors with some new and entertaining segments.
