Travel channel is about to feature Devil’s Road: The Truth about Eddie and Lorraine Warren on Shock Documentaries this September 7th. The documentary focuses on haunted cases and stories that were never shared with the world due to obvious controversial reasons. This special is based on Eddie and Lorraine Warren‘s understanding and connection with paranormal activities along with their famous cases that they were either a part of or solved in the 20th century.
Lorraine and Eddie Warren, the couple are best known for their paranormal investigation that spanned over 50 years. They have been involved in many known and unusual ghostly cases throughout America. Even some of the horror genre movies like The Anabelle, The Conjuring (both part 1,2), and The Nun are based on real-life cases that were investigated by them. Eddie Warren was an author and a paranormal activity specialist who was accompanied by his wife Lorraine who was known to excel in a spiritual medium.
They both were often invited to give speeches at universities and share their knowledge about spiritual practices and also about their work on cases. In the 1970s, the Northwest side of the country used to have a lot of demonic and haunted activities, even the famous Amityville Case which was shown in The Conjuring part 2 was investigated by the couple.
ABOUT THE SHOW
This show is going to be very intense and full of surprises and shocks for the viewers. Each episode will be featuring specific cases investigated by Lorraine and Eddie and their gruesome details.
In an interview by TODAY, an interviewer asked Lorraine “How could a person know if there is a demonic figure or evil spirit around them?” Lorraine replied “One should always trust their beliefs and God if you’re moving into a new house and you feel dark or something mysterious around your house, leave it to pack your bags and leave the next day” “Before going onto a new task, one should always trust in themselves and pray to God for the best thing to happen”,
Throughout their lives, they exposed themselves to the risks of these spiritual and paranormal consequences. They also opened The Occult Warren Museum with a collection of artifacts and haunted objects from the works of their cases, at the back of their house in Connecticut in late 1952.
But as Lorraine passed away last year in mid-April, the status of the museum shows permanently closed. The famous spiritual doll Anabelle was also kept in this museum.
The show’s main focus would be to entertain the viewers with details of these unknown cases of the past. Shock Documentaries, the series have received positive reviews in the past. The viewership enjoys the facts and storyline of these real-life cases that have dwelled in America.
Lorraine’s had a tough life in a sense, as she was always surrounded by these dark and demonic forces which made her vulnerable and took a toll on her personal life as well After her death, her legacy was continued by her son-in-law Tony Spera and their official YouTube channel is also now being handled by him.
The show is most likely going to feature the Anabelle doll case (1970) in its first episode which is something that people still talk about even now after 50 years. A documentary featuring a whole list of such cases, definitely gets me excited!
