Netflix is back with another dark and psychological horror movie. ‘The Devil All the Time’ directed and
co-written by Antonio Campus is based on the 2011 novel by the same name written by Donald Ray
Pollock. Starring Tom Holland in the lead role, the movie has already received positive reviews.
The movie was released on 11th September 2020 in selected theatres because of the delays caused by
the Coronavirus pandemic. It premiered on Netflix on 16th September 2020.

The movie centers on a young man, Arvin (played by Tom) devoted to protecting those he loves in the
town of Knockemstiff, Ohio. A town taming with corruption and police brutality. This movie has every
reason to be a psychological drama with all the elements like- A war veteran disturbed with his past,
serial killers, separated families, a false preacher, and a corrupt policeman.

Bill) is a war veteran who comes back to his hometown with a sore past of losing many of his friends in
the war. Tom’s character Arvin is the son of Willard and Charlotte (played by Haley).
The movie develops on with many different storylines in the same town, for example, the husband-wife
a couple of serial killers Carl and Sandy (played by Jason and Riley) are on their way to hitchhiking men
and killing them to satisfy Carl’s necrophilia. Lee Bodecker (played by Sebastian Stan) is the Sheriff of the town.
Roy and Helen are a part of another different storyline which later mixes up with the serial killers and
Arvin’s character. This movie ends up mixing all the storylines to end the brutality and the killing going in

Tom Holland introduced as a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has impressed
everyone by his brilliant acting and imitation of Arvin’s character in The Devil All the Time. The accent
and aggressiveness of the character are best illustrated by Tom.
The soon-to-be Batman Robert Pattinson is playing the role of Reverend Preston Teagardin (the false
preacher). The critics define the movie as much of extreme violence and murder mystery. The character
growth of Arvin is the major focus of the film.
