One of the most famous American media franchise ‘Star Trek’ never won an Emmy. The most liked
informative TV show of the 1960s created by Gene Roddenberry was nominated for Emmy many times
over the running time of the show. The new spin-offs and movies following the plot of Star Trek have
been an Emmy awardee for a technical or production basis but never related to performance.
‘Gilmore Girls’ following the lives of a mother-daughter duo, Lorelai Gilmore and Rory Gilmore (played
by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel) was nominated only one time for outstanding makeup in the
Emmys. The ultimate duo was loved by people all over the country. The show ran for six years under the
flagship of Warner Brothers, ending with their final season under ‘The CW’ on May 15th, 2007.
The HBO crime series that ran for six seasons from 2002 to 2008 was referred to as the “best television
series ever to broadcast in America” by Slate but it never won an Emmy. It was nominated two times in
2005 and 2008 for best writing but didn’t go any further. The reason for the show to not win any Emmy

they had the complete story.

big influence on many new modern British TV shows.
