The story behind one of the biggest and major revolutions in history, The French Revolution, will finally
screen on our televisions. Netflix brings the French Revolution period in the form of a series for all the
French people and the world to know.
‘La Revolution’ pronounced ‘The Revolution’ created by Aurelien Molas will depict the circumstances the
French people had gone through from 1789 to 1799. The horror series displays a very important chapter
of our history that ended at the correct time to make things better for the future.
What will the series show?
French Revolution as we all know was the shift from a monarchy system to dictatorship in the 18th
century in France. The 11-year period was the toughest time for the people in France. With the wars and
executions, the revolution is described as the darkest in their history.
Molas’ La Revolution walks us through the time before the revolution to the start of it. The series is seen
through the eyes of Joseph Guillotin (played by the French actor Lionel Erdogan). Joseph was a doctor
and a physician during the time of revolution and was also a part of the General States Assembly of King
The revolution happened to be one of the reasons why today after more than 200 years, the European
countries are at peace with a stable government. La Revolution illustrates a topic that the people have
been studying a lot many times but never got to see in a filming structure. It will surely attract many
patriots from the country.
a blue blood virus
As seen from the trailer, the focus of the show is on a blue blood virus that has spread throughout the
country. Joseph is the main lead who wants to find the cure for the disease with his professional skill
and education to stop the virus from spreading in people and resulting to kill them.
In the 18th century, the process of executing people was a very brutal and evil action. The superior class
was beheaded to attain the path to heaven and the lower people and slaves were either hanged or
burnt alive. The director brings all these brutal actions in a way that seemed very realistic for the
Aurelien as the best man for the job
Netflix chose Aurelien as the director because of his excellent and innovative way of working as a
producer for many French films and television shows like ‘Get in’ (2019) and ‘Le Skate Moderne’ (2014).
The full details on La Revolution have not yet been revealed. The teaser was released in July giving very
small hints about the series and its plot. The casting was not fully reported but after the release of its
official trailer in the middle of September on Netflix’s official YouTube channel.
The poster of the series has got the fans excited to experience the re-imagining of the French Revolution
after two centuries. La Revolution will be released altogether on October 16th, 2020 only on Netflix for
all the fans globally to binge on the show the second it releases.
