While Netflix and Prime Video are busy canceling new seasons for television shows due to the pandemic, Channel 4 is going forward with the third season of ‘Staths Lets Flats.’ The show will renew for a final season of the British comedy television sitcom, as reported from the British Comedy Guide. The filming is announced and will soon premiere on Channel 4.
SEASON THREE AS THE LAST SEASON?
Jamie Demetriou will remain as the writer and the lead character in the series. Season three is said to be the last season due to the cast not signing up for more seasons. Season 1 of Staths Lets Flat premiered in June 2018 and has been getting positive reviews ever since.
The story is about Stath Charalambos, a senseless, incompetent, socially inept Greek Cypriot letting agent living in London. He works in his father’s company. From the previous two seasons, we can say that Stath is working in the company only because his father runs the company. His father is the only reason that he is employed in London.
Jamie’s real-life sister Natasia Demetriou plays Stath’s sister, Sophie, in the show. The sitcom walks us through the life of Stath with the people around him and the new customers he meets in a day.
SEASON 1 AND SEASON 2
In season one of Staths Lets Flats, we saw how Stath fails miserably in every new situation but still gets back on his feet the next day. Vesos (played by Christos Sergioglou) is Stath and Sophie’s father, who is old and is suffering by holding the company together. The first season was more of an introduction to the characters of the show. It ended with Vesos deciding to hand over the company to a deserving employee.
Katy Vix plays the role of Carole Collins, an employee at Vasos’ company. Season one ended up with Carole and Stath competing with each other to take the head position. The fighting among the characters and senseless thoughts of Stath made the audience interested in the show.
Season two premiered in September 2019 and was the major breakthrough for the show. The storyline was different; the role of other characters was more focused on. It attracted the audience and got the approval rating and reviews it expected. The other side actors are AI Roberts (playing AI Clark), Kiell Smith-Bynoe (playing Dean), Ellie White (playing Katia), and Dustin Demri-Burns (playing Julian).
DEDICATED TO THE LATE ACTOR ALEX BECKETT
Season one was also the last appearance of the late actor Alex Beckett. He was present in the first season playing the role of Marcus. The show is written by Jamie and Robert Popper and has made their fame with the first two seasons.
Staths Lets Flats is still in the top comedy British series and is said to have the most comic cast. The season three filming begins, and it will be airing sometime in fall 2021.
