Tony Basgallop never fails to impress us with his psychological horror stories. ‘Servant’ written and created by Tony Basgallop, will be premiering its second season in the early weeks of January 2021. The show held an approval rating of 84% and was described as a unique psychological horror with new aspects and elements.
SEASON 1 OF SERVANT
Season one of Servant was an intense introduction to the show that made the audience stick to their beds and binge the show. Many horror films and television series have been made in recent years, but this series highlights a unique story that has never been seen before.
Sean Turner and Dorothy Turner (played by Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose) are a rich, successful couple living in Philadelphia. Six weeks earlier, something happened that made their lives miserable and helpless. Their 13-weeks old son Jericho died. It was an unbearable loss for the Turner family.
The news was a strong shock for Dorothy as she suffered a psychotic break. Sean took Dorothy to a therapist because of her ill condition. The therapist then suggested the use of a reborn doll for Dorothy to recover from the loss. While suffering himself, Sean talks to a popular artist for the most expensive doll that will also be familiar with Jericho.
A PSYCHOTIC BREAK
Dorothy suffered from an illness that made her question what is real and not. She wanted a nanny to take care of Jericho while she was away for work, opposing the decision, Sean was helpless and had to accept her request. The newest member Leanne Grayson (played by Nell Tiger Free), was hired as the nanny.
Looking at the way Leanne took care of the doll, Sean was suspicious of her. Sean and his brother-in-law Julian Pierce (played by Rupert Grint) were the only ones who knew that the baby was nothing but a doll. Leanne treated the doll-like it was a real baby and was the actual son of Dorothy and Sean Turner.
She used to take it on walks and would also read it bedtime stories. Season one was horrifying and suspenseful because of the storyline’s expansion. Going into Grayson’s past and finding out who she is was enough to scare the audience.
The cast will be the same for season two of Servant. Todd Black and Steve Tisch are the new executive producers working on the sets of Servant. The exceptional production team is expected to bring good results for the season.
A lot has been expected from the upcoming season as it will be revealing answers to many questions that were left unanswered at the end of season one. The new season is set out to release on January 15th, 2021, only on Apple TV+.
