After much debate, whether or not to have a homecoming for Season 4, In the Dark will be renewed for 2022, twined around Murphy’s story, a blind woman’s unique life. Viewers will be able to explore Murphy’s journey a little more. For all the twenty-something olds out there, Murphy might be giving out relatable content (or not, which is absolutely normal)
For the new fans to follow, seasons 1 and 2 were about Murphy trying to solve the murder of her friend, Tyson, and how the entire process landed her at the mercy of a gang. She runs a dog training company, Guiding Hope, which sometimes was a front for running drugs in Chicago. Other main characters include her supportive best friend, Jess (Markham), along with their anal-retentive boss (and sometimes a friend), Felix (Krantz)
As a part of CW’s season renewal, Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and CEO of The CW network, said, “Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season (season 3), we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season.”
The CW has not given an official release date for In the Dark season 4. But considering that the third season has only begun its cruise, it could be a while before the next chapter arrives. It will probably arrive sometime in 2022.
There is a good chance Mattfeld will return along with some of the other regulars. There will most assuredly be some new faces in the mix as well. As for the rest, it is anyone’s guess. Till then, let’s see where season 3 takes us.
Since even the plot for season 3 is under construction, it’s tough to unravel the synopsis for Season 4. Till that time, let’s stay curious to find down what goes down (or up, wink wink) in Season 3
The installments for either season are not yet finalized. With seasons 1 and 2 having 13 episodes each, one can only assume that the following chapters will have about that many as well.
