Almost a year after Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp’s split, their possible reconciliation rumors are keeping both the paparazzi and fans on their toes.
However, Lily has told Drew Barrymore that she will not entertain any such conversation as she wishes to keep her personal life private. Sorry fans, but it looks like Lily won’t be addressing any of the Timothée rumors anytime soon
The rumors about possible reignition started to spread when the 21-year old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Pardis was spotted with ex-boyfriend Timothée, 25. Their relationship ended in April 2020, but the couple was recently spotted hanging out again in New York City.
On April 9, which was a Friday, Lily Rose-Depp made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show to talk about her new movie Voyagers. She also explained how her parents had taught her to keep her private life personal, and even though she didn’t address the Call Me By Your Name actor explicitly, we obviously knew that’s who she was talking about.
“The value of privacy is something that’s been instilled in me from an early age,” Lily told The Drew Barrymore Show. “Growing up in a family like I did, it was always something that was—I always learned the importance of privacy and valuing that and keeping things just for yourself. And that’s something that I’ve carried on into my own career, and that’s really important to me.”
Lily Rose-Depp started her career in the Kevin Smith movie Tusk with a cameo. Former Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld chose her as an ambassador for the brand when she was only 15. Since then, she’s appeared in print ads for the iconic fashion house of Chanel and has even served as the face of the No. 5 L’Eau fragrance.
Talking to Drew, she said that she acknowledges the privilege she has as she can wake up every day and love the job she does. However, she does not wish for her career to interfere with her personal life and also her ability to have fun when there aren’t any cameras around. “It’s just about balancing that with also wanting to keep other things private and enjoy other parts of life,” she told Drew.
