On July 15, 2020, Hallmark revealed Season 7 of Good Witch. Two weeks after the Season 6 finale, the show was renewed. Filming and preparation were delayed several weeks due to COVID-19, but shooting finally started in October 2020. This is also the first season without a Halloween special to set the tone for the rest of the season. Season 7 is set to air on May 16, 2021.
The show’s optimistic and feel-good aspect is especially popular with audiences. Fans can’t seem to get tired of the show, even after six seasons. So, if you’re wondering about a Season 7, we’ve got you covered!
‘Good Witch’ is a television series based on the film series of the same name. The show follows the residents of Middleton, a fictitious town where Cassie Nightingale and her family reside. Cassie, a granddaughter of the town’s founders, manages and controls Grey House, a B&B. She also possesses mystical powers and the strength of insight, which she employs to aid others. The series premiered on February 28, 2015, and was created by Craig Pryce and Sue Tenney. The series began with a film in 2008, followed by 11 more films and this television program.
This series, like the movies, has received a highly favorable reaction from audiences and has built up a massive following over time. Hallmark Channel was the highest-rated and most-watched network on weekends in 2019, thanks to the popularity of the fifth season.
The velvet pouches of soil found by Cassie, Abigail, and Joy at the end of the previous season signal the start of a new Merriwick mystery for the cousins to solve, which leads them to focus on their pasts and how those life events have influenced who they are now. Along with the typical Middleton hilarity, new marriages, personal problems, and romance are in the works.
The bulk of the original cast members are set to return for the seventh season. Catherine Bell (Cassie Nightingale), James Denton (Dr. Sam Radford), Catherine Disher (Martha Tinsdale), Sarah Power (Abigail Pershing), Kylee Evans (Stephanie Borden), and Scott Cavalheiro (Adam Hawkins) are among the returning cast members. There’s also a chance we’ll see Peter MacNeill (George O’Hanrahhan), Rhys Matthew Bond (Nick Radford), Marc Bendavid (Mayor Donovan Davenport), Paula Boudreau (Dottie Davenport), Jason Diaz (Carter), and Katherine Barrell (Joy Harper). While it has not been confirmed whether new actors have joined the cast or not, we might get to see some new faces.
