Another award show, another great evening for fashion. Celebrities definitely did not come to play when they stepped on the red carpet for the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021.
Only days after the Billboard Music Awards offered the first taste of the music industry’s post-vax summer red carpet style, the iHeartRadio Music Awards offered a second sartorial helping. Los Angeles was all lit up by the big night in music, where stars showed up in bright dresses and standout suits. The iHeartRadio Music Awards closed off awards season as they hosted the most famous names in music and pop culture on Thursday. Sweatpants were swapped for couture, and industry heavyweights were ready to step out in their finest and make a bold and lasting statement.
The show may have taken place ahead of a long summer weekend, but the stars gave us so much to remember about the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021 edition. After a year of chaos, the show is finally back and brings some serious glam to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
We’ve made a list of all the show-stopping style moments from the big night.
Dive right in.
Decked in: Dundas, Giuseppe Zanotti, EFFY, Graziela
We love a mullet, and on Demi Lovato, we love it even more! Lovato slipped in a midnight blue velvet pantsuit by Dundas and nothing underneath. With added touches of shine to accentuate the look, like the silver platforms by Giuseppe Zanotti, a silver bolo necklace, and feather earrings by EFFY and Graziela, the Sorry, Not Sorry singer stole the whole show.
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox
Decked in: Mach & Mach, Comme des Garçons
We had barely gotten over their BBMAs red carpet looks when the power couple showed up giving us modern-day Barbie and Ken vibes at the iHearRadio Awards 2021. Rocking monochromatic looks, Megan Fox was seen in a bubblegum-pink Mach & Mach jumpsuit with silver straps. She complemented Machine Gun Kelly’s silver distressed short suit and added touches of pink, including a butterfly on his lapel and pink, striped socks.
Megan Thee Stallion
Decked in: Bryan Hearns
Megan Thee Stallion took home the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Collaboration and looked just the part. In a shimmering gold mesh-paneled cutout mini dress paired with matching gold sequined ankle-wrap stilettos, the Girls in the Hood rapper really shone.
Lil Nas X
Decked in: Selam Fessahaye ,Telfar
In an iridescent and holographic oversized suit, the Call Me By Your Name singer overcame his newfound fear of pants. He finished the look with silver earrings, a diamond grill, and metallic eyeshadow. White platform boots and a mini white Telfar bag further elevated the futuristic look.
Decked in: Brandon Maxwell, Miu Miu
One can always trust Doja to be extra. Say So fame Doja Cat, who rose to fame last year, arrived on the red carpet in a sexy, next-to-nothing look in a light olive green Brandon Maxwell ensemble. With undergarments that matched, she lived the khaki fantasy.
Making a quick outfit change, she slipped into a plunging Miu Miu ’21 resort design. The dress was adorned with kittens all over, helping Doja live up to her name. In addition, she paired the black bow accents with black platform pumps. We live for this!
Decked in: Marc Jacobs, Dilara Findikoglu
Ava Max pulled out all fashion stops when she walked on the red carpet in satin red corset pants and sparkly silver platform heels. What took her to look over the edge was the metallic silver bra adorned with crosses that matched her cuffs, creating a sexy ensemble. In platform shoes from Marc Jacobs, she indeed looked ravishing. We. Are. Here. For. It.
Decked in: Alexandre Vauthier Couture
H.E.R continued the legacy of the oversized suit trend with a shimmering silver and gold pantsuit, which she layered over a bedazzled silver top. For accessories, she went with giant, square sunglasses and quirky, chunky rings.
Later, she swapped the glam look for sequined and feathered black bell-bottoms. Then, decked in an Elton John top, she paid homage to the night’s guest of honor.
Lil Huddy and Charli D’Amelio
Decked in: Saint Laurent, Carolina Herrera
Say what you want about the Tik Tok superstars. They sure know how to turn steamy looks at award functions. Lil Huddy and Charli arrived in their best red carpet outfits. Lil Huddy looked dapper in Saint Laurent and D’Amelio in a gorgeous Carolina Herrera black gown adorned in heart patches all over. Adorable much?
Decked in: Dr. Martens, Basketcase Gallery
The Hot Girl Summer singer was nominated for two awards at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021. However, Blackbear decided to keep it simple with a white jumpsuit, a black tie, and edgy and chunky Dr. Martens.
Debby Ryan and Josh Dun
Decked in: Rowen Rose
Debby Ryan was present alongside her husband Josh Dun, part of the dynamic Twenty One Pilots. She played a cheerleader in a fitted mini dress with oversized sleeves. Her mini bow bag was an amazingly adorable touch. Husband Josh kept it calm and casual as he sported sneakers on the red carpet.
