Monday’s premiere takes off with a peek of the season to come, with a bunch of shirtless ripped men and Katie asking for the directions for fantasy suites.
Of course, the premier didn’t miss out on dramas with one guy calling some other guy a “manipulative psychopath” and Katie emotionally warning the men: “If you’re not here for an engagement, get the f—k out.”
Former Bachelorette’s Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe were called to aid Katie to kick off her journey. The two females replaced Chris Harrison after his name surfaced during a controversy. The trio bonded over their “sisterhood” to lead the show, and Tayshia and Kaitlyn shared their wisdom before the fresh Batch of cookies arrived. “Don’t rule anyone out,” they said.
The 30 men who appeared in the first episode on June 7 turned to puns, pick up lines, and gimmicks to charm their way through Katie’s heart or to at least make a standout first impression. Andrew Spencer drove in an old car with a phony accent, Brandon Torres showed up in a grubby RV, and James Bonsall took it a step further and wrapped himself as a present.
Many of them greeted Katie through sexual puns. For example, Justin Glaze compliments stroking, Kyle Howard gifted her a pair of his underwear, and Cody Menk handed her a blow-up doll.
But Connor Brennan was somehow able to make himself stand out from other guys. He walked in a full-body catsuit that Katie called “pur-fect.”
Brennan was an early kiss throughout the premier and smeared his cat whisker face paint on Katie’s cheeks. Much to his surprise Katie choose Justin for the first kiss of the premier, and Greg Grippo held the first impression rose.
Who Went Home
Thurston bid farewell to 7 men when Bristowe and Adams asked Katie to send the fraction of her wanna-be boyfriends home.
Austin, Landon, Marcus, Gabriel, Marty, Brandon, and jeff failed to claim any roses and fell victim to the first round of eliminations. Finally, Katie’s 23 remaining choices waved their kind goodbyes.
