The 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, hosted by AT&T, has revealed its 2021 film line-up. The 20th-anniversary event is set to run between 9th to 20th June. In addition, the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival will stage 12 outdoor screening spots throughout New York City to coincide with the city’s re-opening. We’ve scored the selections and listed to top picks you should look forward to watching this year.

- Radical love
Radical love, directed and written by William A. Kirlley. Produced by Caroline Waterlow is a mini-documentary exploring Eleanora Kennedy and Michael’s rebellious political activism and romantic desires. Michael and Eleanora Kennedy are a legal team of husband and wife who represented a who’s who of the 1960s’ politically subversive class. With Eleanora Kennedy, Anna Kennedy, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Michael Kennedy.
Produced by Jessica Hargrave, Christopher Leggett Rafael Marmor, and Conor Fetting-Smith. Directed by Ryan White Coded follows the life of illustrator J.C. Leyendecker, whose legacy became the inspiration for today’s proud and fierce LGBTQ commercials. With Jari Jones, Jennifer A. Greenhill, John T. Nash, and Judy Goffman Cutler.
- Miss Panama
Produced by Pascale Boucicaut, Lamar Bailey Karamañites, Melina Tupa, and David Felix Sutcliffe. Directed by Lamar Bailey Karamañites, David Felix Sutcliffe, Pascale Boucicaut, Miss Panama follows Gloria Karamañites, who becomes the first black woman to be crowned Miss Panama. However, before her triumph, pageant officials hustled to deny her the title by asking her to answer another obscure legal question. Miss Panama is a mini-documentary voicing Gloria’s struggle against racism and finding her place in the world.
- Try to Fly
Written by The Affolter Brothers and Simone Swan, produced and directed by The Affolter Brothers, Try to fly cites a tale of a young owl who is pushed out of his nest. His fears and doubts spark existential crisis as her future flashed right before her eyes. With Simone Swan.
- “Catch the Fair One”
Catch the fair one stars Kali Reiss as a retired fighter who lands on a complot of human trafficking while looking for her missing sister. “Catch The Fair One” highlights every ingredient of a strong revenge thriller. Directed by Josef Wladyka and co-written by Reis, the champion boxer turned actress performed her role around her own Native American heritage. Willing to slam open every door to expose those accountable for such awful atrocities.
- “A Choice of Weapons”
“A Choice of Weapons” based on Gordon Parks is among the 2021’s most important movies of any genre. Gordon was the first African American to hold a staff post in Life Magazine and had a major involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. Director John Maggio chronicles Parks’ tale via his photographs and the people he inspired.
A Choice of Weapons is a historical career map that examines an American vision through an extensive array of artistic ideas and efforts.

Produced by Jonathan Wang, False Positive tells the story of Lucy and Adrian. The couple finds their way to their dream fertility doctor Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan),. in the hope of getting pregnant,.. However, following Lucy’s pregnancy with a little girl, she begins to sense something ominous about Dr. Hibdle. Lucy then sets out on the quest to expose Hindle’s dark secrets and her own “birth story.

Directed by Ty Roberts, The 12 Mighty Orphans chronicles the true legend of Mighty Mites, the Fort Worth orphanage’s soccer team who went from playing without a soccer ball or shoes to playing for the Texas state championship. With their rugged spirit, these misfits inspire their city, state, and the whole country throughout their victorious season and even garnered President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s attention.

Produced by Mel Eslyn And Liz Cardena. Directed by Roshan Sethi, 7 Days follows the story of Rita (Geraldine Viswanathan) and Ravi (Karan Soni). Having nothing in common, both are on awkward a pre-arranged date set up by their parents. Ravi is cautious and visibly nervous, while Rita is doing her best to keep on smiling. Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse as the Pandemic increases and lockdown mandate is issued, Ravi is forced to spend the night at Rita’s house.
