Generation’s hookups and heartbreaks are about to return for another round. In its first eight episodes, the buzzy new adolescent series addressed the diversity of dating as a young person growing up today, and now the series is back to finish up its initial season with additional eight episodes that seem even more intense and tragic.
Generation Season 1, Part 2 is on its way to bring you life and probably even break your hearts! The first look at the new episodes is jam-packed with drama.
When Generation first aired on March 11, it exposed viewers to a varied group of high school students who were exploring various aspects of their sexualities and identities in a conservative Orange County town.
The program was immediately compared to HBO’s other huge ensemble adolescent series, Euphoria, which seemed reasonable given that both episodes focused on diverse LGBTQ+ youths trying to figure things out. Generation, on the other hand, does not go as dark as Euphoria; instead, it takes a more relaxed and playful approach to narrative. However, there is still plenty of drama, and the second half of Season 1 already appears to be delivering some major moments.
On Thursday, June 17, HBO Max will begin streaming Part 2 of Generation’s inaugural season.
On Wednesday, May 26th, HBO Max published the trailer for Part 2. The teaser teases a number of plotlines, including Nathan’s parents coming to grips with his homosexuality and a possible danger to Greta and Riley’s romance. Given how Part 1 ended, fans will undoubtedly be eager to get back into the action, so mark your calendars for the launch of Generation Part 2 on Thursday, June 17.
