Selena Gomez is already a brilliant musician, songwriter and actress and a big shot make-up mogul- and the  ‘Heart wants what it wants’ singer just added Swimsuit designer to her long list of accomplishments.

The 28-year-old musician and actress just announced her recent business product:  a capsule swimsuit line for La’Mariette, a brand by her old friends  Morgan Brutocao and Theresa Mingus. 

Boasting bright gemstone pallets, the Fifty Shades of Blue actress caught a definite ’70’s mood for the designs, which features sarong top, bikini per Instagram and “Gracie” one-piece (named after her younger sister).

Salena was still embracing her leach blonde hairstyle for pictures giving us all the mid-year vibes.

Salena was approached by the creators of the brand Morgan Brutocao and Theresa Mingus to add her name to the six-style collaboration. The brand is set to launch on July 3rd.

“It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan and I love being outside so much,” Selena said in a statement to announce the line.

“After going through swatches, my favourite colour was purple. I wanted to stay away from colours I’m used to like white and red,” she explained. The brand social media account revealed that there will be six pieces in total for Selena’s line: a one-piece, a sarong, top bottoms and two tops and (all of which mix and match, of course). Salena continued.

As per a media statement, Brutocao and Mingus founded the La’Mariette aiming to provide more extensive size ranges than some top of the line swimwear brands did at that time.  “The brand intended to help women feel confident and not embarrassed by their bodies,” the press release said.  

The singer has been occupied with her business undertakings outside and music and acting.  Salena also launched her very first cosmetics brand of a similar name back in 2020. The brand includes a long range of 48 shades guaranteeing women of all shades can find their best pick. 

What’s more, Salena also invested her money into Serendipity3, a popular NYC café that just underwent remodelling.
